Houston City Council has confirmed Herbert Sims as the new Director of the Department of Neighborhoods (DON), as appointed by Mayor John Whitmire. The City of Houston is celebrating Earth Day 2024 with a large-scale tree planting event, thanks to a partnership with Apache Corporation.
